ALLISON PLOOR- Rehearsal Director

Allison Ploor is a founding member of BODYART, starting collaborations with Artistic Director, Leslie Scott in 2002. The two have taught master classes and set repertory on schools and universities across the country including Brandon Ballet, Elon University, San Jose State University, UT Dallas, and the Greenhill School. While receiving her BFA in Ballet and Modern Dance from Texas Christian University, Allison was awarded the Nordan Fine Arts Scholarship and Jerry Bywaters Cochran Excellence in Modern Dance Award. She is also a member of VonHoward Project and has worked with performers and choreographers Susan Douglas Roberts, Leah Cox, Jin Wen Yu, Gus Solomons jr, and the late Fernando Bujones. Her early training included study at Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, Sarasota Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Florida Dance and the American Dance Festivals.

Brett Alan- Production Assistant

Brett Alan is a valued member of the production team. He has been a part of BODYART since 2008 and in 2011 he ventured into an administration role. Brett’s accolades include graduating Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University with a BFA in Dance and continuing his studies at Purchase College, SUNY, pursuing an MFA degree in performance/teaching. Brett is a graduate assistant and teaching at the School of Arts at Purchase. Besides his schooling; Brett has had the opportunity to guest choreograph at Jericho Senior High School for the past 8 years, entertain, choreograph and work as a talent scout for Double G Productions and Starlight Entertainment, work as an assistant choreographer for the LMproject and work in management for Lululemon Atheltica. He has toured with many companies including Lucinda Childs and Vissi Dance Theater and has performed with Genesis Dance Company, Mary Seidman & Dancers, Hydroflo and Flexicurve.
