Chris Crumley – Photographer

Chris Crumley has been working with Bodyart and dancers in the studio, on islands and underwater for since the mid-2000s.Throughout his photography career, he has studied the works of master photographers, collected and absorbed an extensive library of photographer’s works and attended workshops in the U.S. and Europe. He has the ability to uniquely capture images of people, places, fashion, dance and underwater dance and his work is known internationally. Patrick Lovejoy – Video Artist

Patrick Lovejoy’s work as a filmmaker and video artist is informed by his extensive training and experience as a performing artist. His dance films have been screened at Lincoln Center, The New Museum of Contemporary Art, and Galapagos Art Space. He has recently collaborated with Dance Films Association and The New Museum of Contemporary Art on a performance series featuring dance films accompanied by live music. His performing credits include STOMP (Off-Broadway and International Tour 2002-2007) as well as Cirque du Soleil (Paris and Rome, 2007). He has also appeared as a featured actor in works by director Kristin Marting (Co-founder of HERE) and Olivier Py (Artistic Director of Theatre de l’Odeon, Paris).

In 2007 he directed and choreographed an international cast of performing artists for a week-long commercial showcase event presented by Cirque du Soleil and sponsored by FIAT in Rome. He has a BFA in Theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he studied at The Experimental Theater Wing. He is the recipient of The Young Arts Award in Dance by National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.

Chris Heilman – Set Designer

Christopher Heilman is a freelance scenic and lighting designer based in New York and the Technical Director at St. Ann’s Warehouse. Recent credits include Reid Farrington’s Gin & “It” (3LD, Under the Radar, Wexner Center and PS 122) The Death of Evie Avery (NYC Fringe 09), Labapalooza!, A Dream Play (SAW) As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet (SOTC and The Guthrie Theater) and Ubu for President (Theatre de la Jeune Lune).

Charles J. Seich- Composer

Native New Yorker Charles Seich began his musical studies at an early age, honing his skills on instruments such as piano, euphonium, and percussion. He studied theory and composition under Kenneth Lampl and Herbert Deutsch at Hofstra University, and has since been actively engaged in scoring and composing for film, television, and modern dance. Stylistically, Charles’ work is strongly associated with orchestral and electronic music, while also encompassing a broader range of influences from rock and roll to jazz. Outside of his composition work, Charles keeps the performance aspect of his life active as the drummer/percussionist for The Narrative, an indie rock/pop band which was recently featured on MTV’s “The Real World”.

Melissa Firlit – Theatre Director/ Dramaturgue

Melissa is pleased to be here. She recently directed A Nasty Story(NY Intl Fringe Festival), By The Light Of The Silvery Moon(The Yellow Wallpaper)(MidTown Intl Theater Festival), 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress(The Bridge Theater), Svetlana Presents:Happy Birthday Jesus(The Tank/Collective Unconscious), The Rise and Fall of Miles and Milo(NY Intl Fringe Festival), Three Patriotic Acts(The Horace Mann Theatre at Columbia University) and Genius Andronicus(The Bridge Theater and Manhattan Theater Source). Her theater company, Fine Feathered Friends, was a recipient of The Field’s Space Grant. She won awards for best direction and best overall production of A Nasty Story from offoffoffonline.com. She teaches creative movement and musical theater to children at The School @ Columbia University. She received her BFA in theater studies and music at the University of Hartford. She also attended the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and the St. Petersburg Theater Academy in Russia.
