Allison Ploor


Allison Ploor is a founding member of BODYART, starting collaborations with Artistic Director, Leslie Scott in 2002. The two have taught master classes and set repertory on schools and universities across the country including Brandon Ballet, Elon University, San Jose State University, UT Dallas, and the Greenhill School. While receiving her BFA in Ballet and Modern Dance from Texas Christian University, Allison was awarded the Nordan Fine Arts Scholarship and Jerry Bywaters Cochran Excellence in Modern Dance Award. She is also a member of VonHoward Project and has worked with performers and choreographers Susan Douglas Roberts, Leah Cox, Jin Wen Yu, Gus Solomons jr, and the late Fernando Bujones. Her early training included study at Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, Sarasota Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Florida Dance and the American Dance Festivals.

Amanda McNussen

BODYART company member since 2013. A native of Illinois, Amanda began her professional training at the University of Illinois while finishing her senior year of High School. She then went on to earn her BFA in Dance at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) under the direction of Stephen Kaplowitz. Amanda is a performance artist and creator interested in utilizing abstract movement to better understand the self, relationships, and social experience. Her explorations focus on the relationship between subtly movement (gesture) and brash physicality to evoke an emotional response. She has had the opportunity to perform works choreographed by Tricia Brown, Rosemary Lee, Laurence Blake, André Tyson. While on the west coast her work was shown at REDCCAT and the Sharon Disney Lund Theater. Additionally, Amanda is a BASI certified Pilates instructor with a specialization in Pilates for dancers and is currently deepening her yoga practice through a yoga teacher training course.

Rachel Abrahams


BODYART dancer since 2010. Rachel Abrahams is from Oyster Bay, New York. She attended the Long Island High School for the Arts and graduated in 2009 with a BFA in Performance and Choreography from the California Institute of the Arts under the direction of Stephan Koplowitz. Rachel has performed with Shen Wei Dance Arts in two world premiere site specific pieces at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Park Avenue Armory. Rachel is also a founding member of Bryn Cohn + Artists. Rachel has a strong improvisation practice in and out of the studio. In exploring her love for all things movement, she recently became 200-hour certified to teach yoga.

Amy Falls

A member of BODYART since 2013. Originally from Virginia, Amy attended high school at the (University of) North Carolina School of the Arts. At NCSA, she performed in works by Robert Lindgren, Heather Maloy, and Larry Keigwin. Amy received her BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. At the U, she had the opportunity to work Juan Carlos Claudio, Sharee Lane, I-Fen Lin, and Yannis Adoniou. Additionally, Amy has performed in works by Sidra Bell, Marc Bogaerts, Martha Graham, and Twyla Tharp. Amy has spent summers studying at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Alonzo King LINES Ballet School, Doug Varone and Dancers, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Salt Dance Fest. Amy recently relocated to NYC and is excited to be an apprentice at BODYART; she also dances with Robert Maynard.

Andrea Lanzetti


BODYART company member since 2013.A dancer since age 6, Andrea has always felt a connection to movement. She grew up training in ballet and soon after discovered her need to experience more types of movement.  It didn’t take long before she realized that modern dance was in fact her true love.  She went on to study dance at DeSales Unviserity where she earned her degree in May 2010.  She had the privilege to train intensely with artists such as Trinette Singleton of the Joffrey Ballet,  Tara Madsen, Tim Cowart, and Kristin Fieseler along with many NYC guest artists. While in college, aside from the endless amount of dancing experience obtained, she also discovered Pilates and found it to be extremely beneficial for strengthening her body and dance technique. After graduating from DeSales University, Andrea moved to NYC soon after and began dancing professionally with several modern dance companies.  Specifically, she has danced and trained with Marie-Christine Giordano Dance for 3 years.  She has had the opportunity to perform several works by MCGD including the premiere of “In and Out” which was performed both in NYC as well as in Geneva, Switzerland in 2012.  Andrea has worked with several other modern dance companies on various smaller projects as well and is currently dancing for BODYART dance company.

Erin Okayama

BODYART Company member since 2012. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Erin Okayama began her training under Heather Cooper at the Adage School of Performing Arts in Milpitas, California.  She holds a BFA in Dance from University of California, Santa Barbara. In San Francisco, Erin has had the pleasure of working with Mary Carbonara Dances, Dance Ceres, EmSpace Dance, Jo Kreiter/ Flyaway Productions and many others.   She is also a founding member of Vispo Dance, a six-member choreographer collective based in San Francisco.  Since moving east, Erin has danced the works of Oliver Steele and Marcos Duran.  She has also performed with York DanceWorks, the Anata Project and Summation Dance.
