Anatomy of Lost
Running Time: 80 Minutes with no Intermission
Full Company
The work will premiere in September of 2011
Anatomy of Lost is an homage to movement and sound born of shadow – bodies pry open mouths, tense into knots, or become instruments for a percussive language. Anatomy of Lost is an inquiry into the psychic space of being “lost” where inspiration and obsession intermix, and the underlying pull of true north. The work weaves high-energy contemporary Modern Dance movement with a newly commissioned sound score. The idea of ‘lost’ translates across many cultures spiritually, psychologically, politically and geographically and this new work allows for a diverse look at the common, and not so common act.

Full Company
The work will premiere in September of 2012
Thread is a multi-media dance drama that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, arousal and disgust, fun and violence, spectacle and authenticity. Inspired by the Greek myth of Ariadne, Thread adopts the labyrinth as a metaphor for the human psyche. Fascinating and seductive, Ariadne is a modern woman infused with the myths of the past. The performers reflect the twists and turns through her complex path while interweaving his/her own labyrinth of life.
